AEW Dynamite
WWE Smackdown

On average, the ratings for both Dynamite and NXT have been on the low side recently. This is most likely caused by viewers paying more attention to news programs due to the results of the 2020 Presidential Election. But now that most news outlets have clearly declared a winner, we saw an increase in the two show's overall ratings this week. Here are the details.

  • This was the fall out episode of Dynamite after AEW's Full Gear pay-per-view this past weekend, and it experienced a healthy boost in the ratings. The number of viewers grew from 717,000 last week to 764,000 this week, an increase of 6.6%. Despite the larger audience, however, the show's 18-49 demographics rating remained the same as last week at 0.30. Among cable television for the night, Dynamite ranked #17 among the 18-49 demographic and #62 for overall viewership.

  • NXT also garnered improved ratings this week. It averaged 632,000 viewers this week. That's an increase of 3.6% compared to last week's 610,000 viewers. The 18-49 demographics rating for the black and gold brand saw an improvement this week as well. It went up from 0.14 last week to 0.16 this week. Among cable television for the night, this week's NXT ratings put the show at the #68 spot for the 18-49 demographic and the #74 spot for overall viewership.

Over on Monday night and Friday night, there were slight increases in the ratings for both Raw and Smackdown.

  • After three consecutive weeks of declining ratings, Raw was able to make a small comeback this week. The show's viewership went up by 2.0%, increasing from 1,656,333 viewers last week to 1,689,667 viewers this week. Additionally, Raw's 18-49 demographics rating also went up. It increased from 0.48 last week to 0.53 this week. Among cable television for the night, Raw came in at #4 for the 18-49 demographic and #39 for overall viewership.

  • The last episode of Smackdown saw its audience grow by a similar margin as that of Raw's. It increased from 2,286,000 viewers last week to 2,315,000 viewers this week. That's a growth of 1.3%. As for the show's 18-49 demographics rating, it came in at 0.7, the same as last week's. Among network television for the night, Smackdown ranked #1 in the 18-49 demographic and #7 in overall viewership.

With Dynamite's victory this week and last week, AEW has begun to build a winning streak again. This week's results makes Dynamite's win-loss record 44-9-1 for viewership and 53-1 for the 18-49 demographic. Conversely, NXT's record is now at 9-44-1 for viewership and 1-53 for the 18-49 demographic.
