AEW Dynamite
WWE Smackdown

Three weeks ago, NXT beat Dynamite in the ratings for the first time in months with its Halloween Havoc special. But at this point, that almost seems like ancient history with Dynamite once again dominating the Wednesday Night Wars this week. Here are the details.

  • Dynamite saw a huge boost in the ratings this week with the number of viewers shooting up by 11.3%. It increased from 764,000 viewers last week to 850,000 viewers this week. And perhaps more importantly, the show's 18-49 demographics rating improved by an even more impressive margin. It went up from 0.30 last week to 0.37 this week. The show hasn't seen such strong ratings for over a month, so this is an encouraging sign for AEW. Among cable television for the night, this week's ratings placed Dynamite in the #7 spot within the 18-49 demographic and the #60 spot for overall viewership.

  • The size of NXT's audience pretty much remained the same as last week's. It grew slightly from 632,000 viewers last week to 638,000 viewers this week, a small increase of 0.9%. The show's 18-49 demographics rating, however, did see a more significant change. It went down from 0.16 last week to 0.14 this week. Among cable television for the night, this placed NXT in the #56 spot for the 18-49 demographic. As for overall viewership, NXT came in at #74 this week.

As for Raw and Smackdown, the two shows' ratings headed in opposite directions this week.

  • Uncharacteristically of the red brand in recent weeks, this week's Raw saw a significant upswing in the ratings. The size of the audience went up from 1,689,667 viewers last week to 1,778,667 viewers this week. That's a nice bump of 5.3%. Even though the adience grew, though, Raw's 18-49 demographics rating went down. It dropped from 0.53 last week to 0.51 this week. Among cable television for the night, Raw came in at #5 for the 18-49 demographic and #26 for overall viewership.

  • Smackdown, on the other hand, experienced a drop in the ratings this week. The viewership fell 3.5%, decreasing from 2,315,000 last week to 2,234,000 this week. Correspondingly, the show's 18-49 demographics rating went down from 0.7 last week to 0.6 this week. Among network television for the night, Smackdown ranked #2 in the 18-49 demographic and #8 in overall viewership.

Dynamite is now officially on a winning streak again after three consecutive wins in the Wednesday Night Wars. This week, Dynamite garnered a 33.2% larger audience than NXT. This makes Dynamite's win-loss record 45-9-1 for viewership and 54-1 for the 18-49 demographic. In turn, this makes NXT's record 9-45-1 for viewership and 1-54 for the 18-49 demographic.
